This course explores the fundamentals of digital video through the design and production of an original GIIP documentary. Throughout the quarter students will develop a complex understanding of camera hardware, editing software, interview techniques, trouble shooting skills, and project design that they can then apply to field internships in the future. Keeping in mind that many GIIP interns will be working with limited resources, this course focuses on how to juggle the constraints of limited resources, time pressures and project demands in order to produce work that is both professional and socially provocative.
