GIIP 3: Frontiers of Innovation GIIP 3: Frontiers of Innovation
The goal of this course is to explore how Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) has facilitated campaigns and community organizing. Students
will read and review cutting-edge reports from institutions around the country and
critically discuss how ICT has been used and is currently being used effectively.
Topics include: Technology & Civil Society, Campaign & Organizing Strategy, and
themed case studies (Faculty against War, Women's Rights, Global Labor, Universal
Health Care, and the Environment). In addition, students will learn grant writing
skills and techniques.
