We are excited to introduce our new GIIP accomplice, Elijah Saxon. Elijah is a new first year graduate student in Sociology. He graduated UCSC in 1996 with degrees in Sociology and Computer Science. In 1999, he founded riseup.net in the wake of the WTO protests in order to meet the communication needs of the global justice movement. riseup.net is an essential resource for tens of thousands of activists worldwide. Elijah is well versed in the areas of security, system administration, and computer programming which he hopes to put to good use in GIIP by teaching and consulting about social network web application programming, giip documentation, and server hosting.
