The three part series of GIIP classes, focuses on the  theory and method of info activism, implementation  of design, and understanding the emerging frontiers  of innovation.  We begin the series by exploring the  intersection of social networks, coalitions, and movements to transform theoretical understandings into  ICT-based social projects. Emphasis is placed upon  using digital technologies to design a realistic, practical solution to a social problem. The course examines  cutting edge case studies and new technologies in  order to help broaden the imagination of GIIP interns  to be inspired to create innovative sustainable ICT  projects. Our technical section covers: open source  software, web design, graphic design, database management and networking.
